A Christmas Carol
The Saint Servatius Church in Ophoven is the setting for a magical Christmas. A Christmas Carol is a book by British author Charles Dickens, published in 1843 and set in London.
The story follows an old money changer named Ebenezer Scrooge. Scrooge is only interested in accumulating as much money as possible. This makes him unpopular. Scrooge also hates Christmas, as the shops are closed on that day and therefore no money can be earned. On Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by three spirits who are supposed to change his mind and turn him into a good person. As in other books by Dickens, poverty and injustice play a major role.
With live music, choir, 50 actors. No fewer than six performances and six charities supported.
