Get to know the Vinkenbier route. This 10 km walking route will teach you more about the origins and history of Vinkenbier. The route takes you past beautiful spots in Geistingen, Ophoven and Kessenich, some of which were important for the creation of Vinkenbier.
The route is signposted, but is also made clear via directions on the walking map.
Geistinger Vinkenbier is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. To celebrate this happy event, inspirer Jan Vinken has published a book entitled "10 years of Geistinger Vinkenbier". Besides listing the articles that have appeared in the press, this book also highlights the forgotten glory of the Vinkenbier. The history of the Vinken family and Vinken brewery are also widely covered, as an ode to Jans father and the ancestors of the Vinken family.
